Living the Spirit of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) through TMMIN's Main Value “Respect”

Today, a good working environment is not just limited to adequate pay. More than that, an ideal workplace is a space where every individual feels safe, valued, and has equal opportunities to develop. This need grows in line with the presence of various generations, cultures, and different perspectives in the world of work, so that diversity becomes a natural part of everyday life.

This situation fosters new awareness of the importance of optimizing diversity to create a comfortable working environment for its occupants. This is then known as the principle of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). A commitment to creating a workplace that values differences and provides fair opportunities for every individual, regardless of their background, gender, or abilities. However, this cannot be achieved only through words or ceremonial events, but through real actions and shared awareness. This challenge is why the value of "Respect" in TMMIN's 7 Core Values (INSPIRE) plays such an important role.

For TMMIN, the Value of "Respect" means respecting others and seeing every individual as an important part of a journey. This value emphasizes that diversity is not just present, but must be lived. By giving space for everyone to grow, contribute, and develop their potential. From there, mutual trust will grow and become the basis for strong collaboration in the workplace.

This value is the main vehicle that brings us to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive working environment. Through "Respect", we are encouraged to see employees, colleagues, and even suppliers, as individuals with unique experiences, values, and ways of thinking. Through this lens, the principles of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) find their relevance. Diversity is reflected when every difference is valued as a color that enriches life in the workplace. From diversity comes the value of Equity, which gives every individual the opportunity to grow according to their potential and needs. All of this combines in the spirit of Inclusion, which fosters a sense of security for everyone to express opinions, contribute, and present themselves with full acceptance.

"Respect" does not stop as a mere principle, but is lived out in daily life in the workplace. This value is seen in how we interact, make decisions, and collaborate with colleagues. In the context of DEI, "Respect" is reflected through simple things that build a healthy and inclusive working environment, such as listening intently to other people's opinions, appreciating every effort no matter how small, and giving space for different ideas with an open attitude. When every individual is valued, differences turn into shared strengths, justice is formed from trust, and inclusion becomes the foundation in every collaboration.

The implementation of these various practices will be more meaningful if it receives real support from the company. At TMMIN, the value of "Respect" is the basis of various initiatives that strengthen the principles of DEI. Since 2016, TMMIN has been committed to creating an open, fair, and respectful working environment for every individual without exception. The effort to create an inclusive workplace is not just about numbers or targets, but about the readiness to build an ecosystem that is truly empowering for all. This commitment is carried out through three main pillars: compliance, facility improvement, and sensitizing ecosystem.

Compliance: Alignment with Regulation

This pillar emphasizes the importance of alignment between the value of Respect, company policies, and applicable regulations. This spirit is realized in various guidelines and policies, such as support for the recruitment of people with disabilities and women, as well as the creation of a "How to Work & Interact with People with Disabilities" guidebook.

Facility Improvement: Common & Unique Facilities

This aspect emphasizes the importance of creating a working environment that provides comfort and accessibility for everyone, from physical facilities to work systems. These efforts are reflected through the provision of disability-friendly facilities such as access routes, elevators, toilets, and ramps for wheelchair users.

Sensitizing Ecosystem: Awareness from 360o Surrounding

This pillar aims to foster awareness and empathy throughout all layers of the organization regarding the importance of diversity and inclusion. This is reflected in various initiatives such as disability sensitivity training, DEI Talk with the Board of Directors, Speak Up Campaign, and a continuous evaluation system that strengthens the culture of mutual respect in the TMMIN environment.

The value of Respect teaches us that everyone has a different story and way of contributing. When these differences are valued and opportunities are given fairly, the spirit of DEI grows naturally in every step and decision. From there, a working environment is created that is not only productive, but also humane, a place where every individual feels accepted, trusted, and empowered to grow and advance together.

End.
