The RI Ambassador to Australia Meets with TMMIN Executives to Discuss Automotive Industry

Jakarta, June 9, 2022 – President Director of PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) Warih Andang Tjahjono accepted the invitation of the Indonesian Ambassador to Australia His Excellency Siswo Pramono to discuss the development of the Indonesian automotive industry.

In this meeting, the Indonesian Ambassador to Australia said that TMMIN's automotive exports reduced the negative trade balance between Indonesia and Australia, so they must be maintained and increased.  The President Director of TMMIN conveyed the latest developments in the export performance of Indonesian automotive products to Australia, including the opportunities and challenges.  For information, in February 2022, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, symbolically released the first export of Toyota Indonesia's automotive product, Fortuner, to Australia.  At the same time, the President of the Republic of Indonesia also inaugurated the export achievement of 2 million units of Toyota Indonesia products.
